SUMMARY:
Assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads and/or assists in small group pupil instruction
- Assists teacher in maintaining discipline and other functions
- Assists with set up of classroom and prepares materials for learning
- Supports individual and small groups or children with pre-academic and social-emotional/behavioral skills.
- Supports with attendance and other clerical duties as assigned.
- Operates standard school equipment such as laminator, copier, audiovisual, etc.
- May escort children to and from various rooms
- Maintains confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma and Associates degree or must successfully pass a state approved basic skills test, or must have sixty (60) hours of credit from a four-year college or university.
This is an EduStaff position.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and related software.
